Can a digital agency save lives?

The World Wide Web has immeasurably changed the world, for better and for worse. Harnessing its power to enable change is one of our driving principles, and we're already saving lives.

Can a digital agency save lives?

We all (should) want to make the world a better place. Whether that starts at home by being more conscious, or on a macro scale, we all have the power to be the change we want to see in the world.

For us here at Corvita, it is using the technology that we work with day to day to help create a brighter future, and we're working on different ways we can help companies deliver products and services to both their clients and staff that will help facilitate change.

Take out chatbot Henry for example: he is already running core parts of the company, but furthermore people's lives. Keeping track of medication, as well as other important metrics, sits alongside server management. The uses of chatbots are endless, and our focus moving forward will be to expand his vocabulary and conversational skills to support users with depression and anxiety issues; Henry will be able to provide support in times of need, and affect a positive outcome.

We have never been more lonely as a society than we are today. The very thing that has made the world such a small place, has driven enormous gaps between people. Loneliness and isolation are one of the biggest threats to mental health in the 21st century.

We make no secret of the fact that we love rugby here at Corvita, and one of our internal projects is dedicated to the sport, combining all of the things we love and stand for. The core values in the game of rugby, respect, sportsmanship, teamwork and discipline, are those that we feel the world could do with a little more of, and we want to champion the sport as a means to instilling a goodness in people that will hopefully make the world a better place. We want to bring the top and bottom of the sport together, open it up to new audiences, and build stronger connections between those already involved, and help quell the loneliness epidemic. The fantasy game is at the heart of this, and is supported by strong editorial and video content. Furthermore, we share the profit generated on the game back to local clubs to help them grow and attract more players. With each of these projects however, the affect is not quite so absolute as the work we have done on the Centre for Military Ethics.

The King's College Centre for Military Ethics was set up back in 2015, and our distance learning platform delivers its courses to militaries across the world. Its teachings have supported officers in the field and had a tangible effect on their decision making, ensuring that lives are not unnecessarily lost.

We are literally saving lives.
